Ethan's 4th Month: Un-FOUR-gettable!

BABIES

Babies are for bouncing,
and for jouncing on your knee,
For charming you, disarming you,
and giggling with glee.

Babies are for kissing
and missing when you're gone,
For walking with and talking with,
and putting booties on.

Babies are a pleasure,
a treasure from above,
They're to adore, but even more,
Babies are for love.

June was filled with some notable FIRSTS:

* Ethan rolled over for the first time.

* Ethan had his first taste of solid foods.

* Sean celebrated his first Father's Day.

* Ethan met his Daddy's Daddy for the first time.

Ethan is growing by leaps and bounds! Clothes and shoes that once seemed to swallow him up are now barely fitting him. It is a challenge to keep up. Just when we were getting the whole bottle feeding thing down, the bold venture into the world of solid foods begins!

Ethan delights in playtime, especially when there is music involved. He radiates with joy when you bounce him on your knee and sing to him! Ethan has also discovered his own voice, making all kinds of different sounds. When he laughs out loud, you just can't help but smile from the inside out!

Cherishing the gift of our son,

Ethan's 4th Month

God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of ages,
The power of the eagles’ flight,
The joy of a spring morning,
The faith of a mustard seed,
And the depth of a family need.
Then God combined these qualities
And there was nothing more to add.
He knew his masterpiece was complete
And so he called it DAD.

Sean's first Daddy's prizes included the book DADDY KISSES and cologne with a travel bag and shaving kit. On Saturday, we grilled steaks at Mimi's and Papa Charlie's. On Sunday, we had a barbeque with Mommy's family. My second cousin Cheyenne loves playing with me and taking care of me.

Father's Day

Ethan's first taste of solid food was rice cereal. He wasn't quite sure what to make of it. Ethan's first pureed food was sweet potatoes. He loved them!
