Spring 2011

Spring has sprung, and we have spent lots of time enjoying the beautiful weather! Ethan loves playing outside with bubbles and sidewalk chalk. Like most boys, he also likes throwing and running after balls, as well as digging his hands in the dirt.

April 2011

We have officially hit the "Terrible Twos." Ethan is all about asserting his independence, and he has developed quite the little temper. Nowadays, when you tell him he can't do something, he goes off into a corner and pouts, or he goes into his bedroom and shuts the door. It was cute the first couple of times, but then we implemented disciplinary measures to keep his attitude in check.

Easter 2011

May highlights included: Mother's Day, Aunt Lauren's Graduation from Georgia Southern University, and Ethan's bedroom makeover.

Puzzles are still among his favorite toys, and you rarely see him without a car, plane, or train in hand. Airplanes are his latest fascination. He likes to make everything fly "high in the sky"! Daddy upgraded to a new iPhone, so we gave Ethan the old one. We loaded it up with numerous toddler apps and games, as well as some of his favorite songs and tv shows. It is a must-have when going to places where we have to wait, i.e. the doctor's office! Ethan has also hit that phase where he wants to watch the same thing OVER AND OVER AGAIN. He will go two weeks watching the same show countless times, then it's on to the next one. First, it was Yo Gabba Gabba, then Pocoyo, then Team Umizoomi, then Blue's Clues, and then Toy Story 3...now it's the Care Bears and the Disney Oceans movie (which Ethan refers to as the "fish" show).

We recently transitioned Ethan's room from a nursery to a toddler room. We replaced the crib with a toddler bed and added a television. Our living room doesn't look so much like a playroom now, since we also moved most of his toys into his bedroom...Mommy likes this!
